Elements and Performance Criteria

1. Plan for dam safety inspections
   • Identify, interpret and assess historical dam construction and maintenance information and evaluate as input to the planning process
2. Identify and analyse legislation, workplace procedures, environmental requirements and operational procedures and requirements impacting dam safety inspection planning
3. Identify, interpret and assess information relevant for dam safety inspection planning
4. Identify, interpret and review the dam safety inspection plan
5. Develop dam safety inspection plan
   • Identify, interpret and shortlist all factors to be used in the dam safety inspection plan
6. Identify, interpret and validate stakeholder requirements, legislation and industry standards impacting the dam safety inspection plan
7. Identify and develop operational procedures and inspection checklists used in conjunction with the dam safety inspection plan
8. Develop and document a plan for managing dam safety inspections
9. Review and refine safety inspection plan
